Bach, Beethoven & Brunch - 2006 Schedule

Sundays, June 18 - August 13
10:30 a.m. – noon
Mellon Park Rose Garden
Fifth and Shady Avenues
Point Breeze/Squirrel Hill
(Behind the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts)

This longtime favorite series is back again this summer and better than ever. Bach, Beethoven and Brunch will entertain music lovers on the lawn of the Mellon Park Rose Garden nine consecutive Sundays beginning June 18. Dr. Charles Coffey, the force that brought the 20-year series back after its one-year hiatus, believes the concerts are “an important community event bringing neighbors together.”

Starbucks will again provide beverages and breakfast goodies for those who don’t bring their own brunch. But for those who do pack it in, the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts will sponsor a “Best Brunch” competition during intermission – and award prizes!

Sponsored by the Squirrel Hill Urban Coalition in conjunction with Citiparks, Starbucks, WQED-FM 89.3 as well as a state grant obtained with the help of State Senator Jay Costa and State Representative Dan Frankel.
